That said, I don’t try different brands so I can compare them, so I may be biased. My camera equipment is Canon (for many years) and so my last printer was a Canon IP6000, purchased in 2006, for printing 4×6 photos (and documents). It worked great until recently when it suddenly slowed way down, which is what prompted me to go shopping. Naturally I read the reviews for Canon printers (and some other brands) and it appeared that this one was the newest technology and already had favorable reviews, including from people with home businesses.

So easy to use, love it!!!

Bought this printer years ago. Easy set up, prints from all my devices, stays connected to wifi with no need to wake it up after an hour. Ink jets went bad and it only printed in blue ink. It was cheaper to buy a new one. It broke my heart. Well smart me decided to buy a photo printer. Let’s just say…. worst …mistake… ever. That printer found it’s way to my sidewalk after 8 months, literally…it just fell out of my hands…opps. Needless to say, I went back in the house and had this exact printer on order in 5 minutes. I was so excited they still make this model.

I like this printer and it does a good job. Ink seems to last an appropriate time. It does a great job on photo prints but like my old HP has trouble picking up the photo paper from the tray. Worked well at first but now I have to feed single sheets. I really like the fact that the Canon printer does not complain so much as the HP did when using generic ink cartridges. As a matter of fact, it said nothing on the screen and the generic cartridges work fine. Scanner and copy processes work well. Lot of buttons on machine with little instruction but a bit of experimenting will let you figure them out. And it collects dust just as well as the HP but the shiny smooth plastic is easy to dust. Neat quality machine for the price.

Happy that I chose one with such strong reviews

Very pleased with the printer, even tho’ it has a bigger footprint than my old one. Not too hard to install; I did it all until it came to the software part, which my daughter did, but I think I could have done that also. Much of which I copy will require lifting the lid rather than using the automatic feeder, which is a little heavy, but I expect I’ll get used to that. Paper is hidden; can’t tell how much is in the tray; again, something I will have to get used to, but maybe the little screen will give me a message. Don’t know how much ink it will use…..
