CES 2017 – What to expect?
CES begins on Thursday, January 5 in Las Vegas with technology and trends featured from every major industry, but companies from across the globe have already started setting up their booths and exhibits. The annual tech show expects 3,800 exhibitors and more than 165,000 attendees.
CES 2017 – The Consumer Electronics Show begins in Las Vegas on Thursday Jan 05, 2017. This year will be the 50 year anniversary for the world’s greatest tech trade show. What are the latest tech gadgets and technologies we can expect to see this year 2017?
In 2017, the focus will be on 4K and HDR TV technologies. Various TV manufacturers will be in the spotlight – Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic, Hisense, TCL, LeEco and others. Sony and LG might be announcing new OLED TVs. Expect to see different TV OSs such as Android TV, Roku TV, and webOS.
Self-driving car as well as connected car technologies will be featured prominently at CES 2017. Cars that not only will be self-driving, but also connected to the internet, the cloud and even other vehicles. Watch for Nvidia’s announcements in regards to self-driving car tech, AI and gaming.
Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality – CES 2017
There is likely to be a lot of Virtual Reality as well as Augmented Reality displays at CES 2017.
Expect to see new VR headsets as well as VR content and apps. Expect to see more VR products geared towards the everyday consumer.
Expect to see all kinds of drones – indoor flying drones, camera drones, racing drones or even underwater drones. Intel is expected to feature its new Aero drones.
Plenty of new wireless headphones, earphones and speakers will be featured. The trend is for wireless audio technologies, especially after Apple decided to cancel the headphone jack in its latest iPhone.
