Oculus Rift Price Drop 2017
“we’re focused on driving the industry forward by bringing VR to more people with the best products and the leading VR content line-up.”
That starts with making PC VR as affordable as possible. Oculus announced that starting today, Oculus Rift plus Touch is now only $598 (from $798). If you already have Rift, Touch is now only $99, and the price of an additional Oculus Sensor is now $59.
With this new all-in price of Rift and Touch, plus all the amazing content coming soon, this is going to be the biggest year for Rift yet. Jason Rubin, Oculus VP of Content, just shared a few of his thoughts on the year ahead for VR here.
Robo Recall Launches Today—Only on Rift
There’s no better way to experience the power of VR than through awesome content. We’re excited to announce that Robo Recall, the brand-new VR shooter from award-winning Epic Games is now available for free with Touch!
Robo Recall is a brilliant, action-packed adventure designed from the ground-up for Touch. Destroy rogue robots with an expanding arsenal of weapons and over-the-top arcade action. As The Verge put it, “The end result is a robot shooting exercise that succeeds in making you feel superhuman.”
The unprecedented graphic fidelity of this game shows us just what’s possible in VR, and we can’t wait for everyone to play it.
Oculus Rift Price Drop – Bringing Down the Total Cost of VR
Together with our PC partners, we’ve also continued driving innovation to lower the barrier of entry to Rift. We have a wide range of Oculus Ready machines available today, including brand new laptops from AORUS, ASUS, and more.
All this represents another major step forward in making VR available to everyone. With Rift and Touch at this new low price, and over 350 amazing Rift titles on the Oculus Store, there’s never been a better time to jump into VR.
