Spire uses your breathing patterns to know how you’re feeling. It guides you to greater calm when you’re feeling tense. It coaches you to be more active when you’re sedentary. Spire helps you discover what makes you calm, focused, and active, and coaches you to a more mindful and healthy lifestyle.

Smart Notifications to Reduce Tension and Increase Calm

The Spire iOS app provides is designed to coach you to a more calm and productive day; it notifies you when you’re tense, provides daily and weekly reports on your state of mind, and includes audio exercises to improve your breathing and ability to reach a calm state of mind.

Counts Steps and Calories and Reminds You to be More Active

Spire helps you be less sedentary by notifying you when you are inactive and tracking your steps and calories burned. You can even set custom reminders to nudge you when you’ve been inactive. With mindfulness and activity tracking, Spire is the only wearable you need.

7-Day Battery Life

The Spire battery can truck on for as long as you do. With 7-day battery life, you don’t need to worry about being left without juice. When it’s time for a charge, simply place it on its beautifully designed, cork-rimmed charging plate and it will charge wirelessly.

Water Resistant

Whether it’s an accidental trip through the washing machine or an unexpected water spill, the sealed, water-resistant Spire stone will emerge a survivor. You can comfortably rinse it if it gets dirty or sweaty after an intense workout, too.

Award Winning Hardware

Winner of the 2014 National Hewitt Design Award, the Spire is not only sturdy and smart, but it’s also beautiful and functional. You might find yourself wishing that it wasn’t so discreet.

Based on 7 Years of Research into the Science of Breath.

Studies have shown how simply controlling our breathing can lower blood pressure, reduce tension and increase endorphins. Spire measures respiratory patterns to detect subtle changes in your state of mind and then guides you to regain calm and focus.

I’ve been using Spire for about 3 weeks now and I’ve been debating about how to review it. I’ve decided to give the product 5 stars. If I could, I’d give it 4.5 but that’s not an option, and I genuinely believe it deserves more than 4 stars. I won’t describe what the product does, if you’re reading this then presumably you already know that and you’re trying to figure out if it actually delivers. I’ll list what I really like about the product, and what I want to see change.

I am writing this in-depth review due to the lack of comprehensive reviews at the time of posting. Thus far, it seems that this is one of those “love it or hate it” devices. Hopefully, this review will help you decide if this is the device for you.

Improved my breathing and calm in 1 week as much as 4 years of meditation

Spire has two features I love. First, when I get “tense” (read: stressed), it will gently vibrate to remind me to breathe. Second, if I haven’t take a deep breath recently, it will remind me to do so. Similar use cases, but amazing. I discovered that I typically stop breathing on phone calls, as soon as spire reminds me, I take a breath and start to relax. I also discovered that I breathe shallowing when I’m on email, which is all the time. Every 15 minutes (configurable) I have Spire remind me to take a deep breath. After one week, the frequency of these has reminders has dropped roughly 90% as I’m learning new breathing habits.

I have enjoyed being notified by my Spire stone with a gentle

I was so excited to find an activity tracker that would give me personal feedback at just the right time, so I bought my Spire several months ago when they first came available. Ever since, I have enjoyed being notified by my Spire stone with a gentle, almost a tickle (truly makes me smile when it taps me) letting me know its time to take in a big breath or it lets me know I’ve been calm or focused. Spire is so tuned into me and my body, it even lets me know if I’m tense and could use a quick 2 minute meditation boost. The first time I tried a boost, I was stressed and my mind kept telling me it wasn’t going to work, it wasn’t going to work- yet at the end of the boost, I actually found myself laughing with happiness! I realized it not only worked but I was so much calmer. Spire is amazing. Its like a personal buddy at your side, helping you be your best each day. I find viewing my Activity, Focus, and Calm summary at the end of the day as my personal snapshot into my Mind, Body and Spirit. If one is out of balance, I can see which one and make adjustments accordingly for the next day so I can be an overall more peaceful, happy and grounded human-being. Happy Spire- to all! You will love, love, love this product!!!

Going to the doctor’s office produces a tremendous amount of anxiety for me. I usually down a Pepto chewable or two before walking in the door, my hands feel clammy, my stomach is upset; I am miserable and scared.

I can’t believe how well it works. I hold my breath to try to trick it but it can persisely tell when I’m breathing, how fast I’m breathing, and how deep. I was hooked the moment I did a short mediation exercise. Afterwards I felt so clear and grounded, and had one of the best nights sleep of my life. I am so thrilled Spire exists.
