AWESOME DEVICE! Im using this wireless hard drive for my iPad mini head rest holder for my truck. I have 2TB of movies, tv shows and disney movies. It connects through wifi great but you have to download the free app “My Cloud” in the app store to read you movie files or documants. It is very portable to where you can carry it in a purse, pocket or back pack and use your iPad, smart phone device to watch movies at a park, beach or at a bus stop. Only thing that you have to convert you movies or shows to MP4 to watch on your devices!
Protection, Fast workflow enhancement, Super battery life, WiFi if needed. Not perfect but worth five stars anyway!

If you are a photographer who travels, you need this. My workflow is to get to my room or truck, put the SD cards into this, monitor download progress on iPhone or iPad, THEN download SC cards into computer. This is my original images archive.
WD 2TB Passport Wireless – battery expands about 4 times to force cover off!

I wanted to like this product for its capacity and being wireless. The problem is that after 6 months it has become a potential fire and safety hazard, although it still reads and writes data. I connected it one evening last week to copy some data to it. When I came out in the morning the battery had expanded so much it had forced the case apart! The battery appears to have expanded about 4 times its normal thickness. Unlike some customers, I have always found Western Digital to provide exceptional customer service, usually replacing units once they are convinced the are defective. I have arranged for them to replace this unit. It will be interesting to see if the replacement drive has the same problem. I am hoping this was a fluke. If so, I will post an update accordingly.
