Design

Out of the box, the Anker PowerCore || 10000 feels solid, compact and easy to hold. It is about the size of a smartphone. It even fits in a shirt pocket. It has a rubberized layer one one side which makes it smooth and velvety to the touch as well as make it non-slippery.

The Anker PowerCore || 10000 is light and portable and it is solidly built and durable. In addition, Anker was thoughtful enough to include a free drawstring mesh bag for ease of handling and protection. The Anker PowerCore || also comes with a 2 feet microUSB to USB cable.

Features

The Anker PowerCore II 10000 supports the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 standard, an output of output at 5V/2A. This allows for fast charging for phones that supports it. We were able to charge a Motorola G5 Plus, from 0 to 50% in 30 Minutes.

There are 4 blue LED indicator lights near the corner on top, and There is a status button on the side of the unit. When you press it it , 1 – 4 lights light up to indicate the power level of the unit.1 light – 25% , 2 lights is 50%, 3 lights is 75%, and 4 lights means it is at 100% capacity.

There is one micro USB port for charging the battery, and one PowerIQ output USB output to charge the phone. As soon as you connects your phone to the unit’s USB port, charging begins automatically.

Unit was partly charged  about 75%. To charge the Anker PowerCore II 10000, you connect the USB cable to a power source, either a laprop or a USB charger. When the Anker PowerCore II is fully charged the LED indicator lights will turn off. For fast and safe charging for your Anker PowerCore II use an Anker USB charger.

To test the Anker PowerCore II 10000 we charged the unit fully, then we charged an Android phone that supported the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, and it got fully charged from 0 – 100% capacity in less than 90 minutes.

We then charged 4 iPhones  one after the other, each running from 0 – 100%, before the Anker PowerCore II was depleted. So that’s charging 5 smartphones in total.

That’s plenty of power, and comes in really handy when you needed most, especially when you are on the go or outdoors, with little time to get stuck by an outlet for 2 hours.

Here is a little tip to maintain optimal battery lifespan, it is recommended that you use and charge the Anker PowerCore at least once every 4 months.
