I’ve owned quite a few headphones. Test and return etc. I’ve had to of at least owned and used over 15 different headphones. But the Sennheisers were always the ones I could never get my hands on. One of the reason is because of the price tag alone. They cost as much as a 144hz monitor ranging from 250 to 300 dollars. Well i purchased them when they were 160 which is a drastic drop in the price tag for brand new cans. So I finally bought them! and that is why I am writing this review. Out of all the headphones I’ve used my favorite are the ATH-m50’s from Audio Technica and now the 363d’s. But the ATH cans have a very small sound stage and are mainly used for in studio equipment. So getting by I’ve been using the Razer kraken pros. Which have to be the worst headphones I have ever used straight out of the box! But once I messed around with the EQ I finally got them to sound pretty decent. But from time to time my ear drums would hurt from the over dramatic base and the drivers being literally right on your ear.

Great headset – USB adapter works with MBP!

Although it doesn’t come with drivers for a MacBook it works perfectly using the USB adapter in El Capitan. I spent days searching for an adapter that would convert the separate mic/headset jack for the combo port on my MBP (the Sennheiser PCV 05 is OMTP but new MBPs need CTIA) when I should have tried the USB and saved myself the time. I haven’t used the USB adapter in Windows since my Win boxes all have sound cards w/ appropriate ports

Still awesome a year and a half later

Before purchasing the Sennheisers PC 363D I owned the BeyerDynamic MMX300 headset and had two of them break on me within 6 months. They had great sound, but the nature of the faults left me with zero confidence in BeyerDynamic’s quality control. Amazon made good on the returns and I’ve now owned the Sennheiser PC363D’s for over a year and a half and use them daily for my music, games, movies and even some television.

GREAT headset! highly reccomend. 🙂

Beautiful headset, simple and you can tell where sennheiser puts all thier work. Quality, not crazy looks with 16 million useless colors. It’s just very solid and feels like it’ll last.

Being a routine gamer who is a big fan of high-end PC equipment, I have ordered and used a large swath of headphones.

Great sounding, extremely comfortable headset. Works flawlessly in high quality stereo sound on PS4 with included USB sound card, no need to buy the extra 3.5mm headset jack adapter if you’re only going to use it on the PS4. Don’t let the word “stereo” fool you though, these puppies still sound beautiful for PS4 gaming. Directional audio cues are still great. Excellent for hearing footsteps in First Person Shooters. Amazing for music and movies as well. Easily the cleanest sounding audio from any gaming headset I’ve ever used. (And I’ve tried many high end models from Turtle Beach, Tritton Pro+, Astro A40’s, and Sony’s own Playstation Gold)

DO IT>>>>You will love your self for buying these

Sennheiser’s been around in one form or another since 1947 they make microphones and headphones and they do it well, so then you ask why would I buy the Sennheiser as opposed to the razor? Simple gaming companies may know about gaming but they don’t know anything about fidelity were talking about a company here that dominates the music industry with their microphones and headsets not enough to make you a true believer yet ? Okay they also make a ton of air traffic control headsets and pilot headsets on about you but I want to make sure my pilot and air traffic control can speak clearly to each other you know what I mean? Still not sold? Understand I think I’ve tried every headset under the sun but for gaming the Sennheiser PC 363Ds are out of this world, you know how you got the first kiss from a girl or guy? This beats that by thousand the sound reproduction is insane and of course how could you expect the microphone to be anything else but stellar and it is trust me on this you can’t go wrong, by the way another plus? It doesn’t look like it was designed by a 12-year-old with a Power Rangers fetish.

I am not a gamer but rather a musician (classical). I am also disabled, unable to type so I rely heavily on speech recognition (Dragon NaturallySpeaking). My spouse gave me a wonderful headphone set a couple of years ago (Sony MDR 7506) but alas, they do not have a microphone so I found myself using a rather cheap headset with a decent microphone. It was time to find a better solution.

Replaced my Astro’s and I couldn’t be happier!

Well, I never thought I would be here posting something like this today for a brand not named Astro. I have rocked Astro for ages it seems, and always buy the latest and greatest Astro headset as they become available. A40 and A50, you name it, I have owned them. So why am I here today posting about Sennheiser? Because I tried them for five minutes at a friends house and…..yeah. You get the idea.
