Spire uses your breathing patterns to know how you’re feeling. It guides you to greater calm when you’re feeling tense. It coaches you to be more active when you’re sedentary. Spire helps you discover what makes you calm, focused, and active, and coaches you to a more mindful and healthy lifestyle.

Smart Notifications to Reduce Tension and Increase Calm

The Spire iOS app provides is designed to coach you to a more calm and productive day; it notifies you when you’re tense, provides daily and weekly reports on your state of mind, and includes audio exercises to improve your breathing and ability to reach a calm state of mind.

Counts Steps and Calories and Reminds You to be More Active

Spire helps you be less sedentary by notifying you when you are inactive and tracking your steps and calories burned. You can even set custom reminders to nudge you when you’ve been inactive. With mindfulness and activity tracking, Spire is the only wearable you need.

7-Day Battery Life

The Spire battery can truck on for as long as you do. With 7-day battery life, you don’t need to worry about being left without juice. When it’s time for a charge, simply place it on its beautifully designed, cork-rimmed charging plate and it will charge wirelessly.

Water Resistant

Whether it’s an accidental trip through the washing machine or an unexpected water spill, the sealed, water-resistant Spire stone will emerge a survivor. You can comfortably rinse it if it gets dirty or sweaty after an intense workout, too.

Award Winning Hardware

Winner of the 2014 National Hewitt Design Award, the Spire is not only sturdy and smart, but it’s also beautiful and functional. You might find yourself wishing that it wasn’t so discreet.

Based on 7 Years of Research into the Science of Breath.

Studies have shown how simply controlling our breathing can lower blood pressure, reduce tension and increase endorphins. Spire measures respiratory patterns to detect subtle changes in your state of mind and then guides you to regain calm and focus.

An Incredibly Valuable Tool – Highly Recommended!

I am writing this in-depth review due to the lack of comprehensive reviews at the time of posting. Thus far, it seems that this is one of those “love it or hate it” devices. Hopefully, this review will help you decide if this is the device for you.

This is a cool product making my life better

I’ve been using Spire for about 3 weeks now and I’ve been debating about how to review it. I’ve decided to give the product 5 stars. If I could, I’d give it 4.5 but that’s not an option, and I genuinely believe it deserves more than 4 stars. I won’t describe what the product does, if you’re reading this then presumably you already know that and you’re trying to figure out if it actually delivers. I’ll list what I really like about the product, and what I want to see change.

ya know, was leery, but equally intrigued when I pressed “submit my order”….I’ve had it now for a couple of weeks and I think it’s pretty cool. It alerts me when I’m not taking deep breaths, it lets me know when my breathing is tense, it prompts me to get up and move if I’ve been sitting too long. I think it will overall increase my health quotient…not hugely, but then, who knows if more deep breaths are the key to longevity?? I think it will help with stress and mindfullness. One thing—you gotta keep the app open on your phone. It will store 6 hours of data…if I was making this, I would have made that 8-10 hours of stored data (that’s the length of a workday plus commute). I found out that driving makes me tense, so I’m working on breathing and getting that to go away…good thing! I’m not one to throw money at devices and I’m not into tech inventions, so for me to give this 5 stars, and to even have bought it, is significant.

A wonderful biofeedback tool

 on September 23, 2016
By Barb
From the start let me say that I suffer from anxiety and have a stressful job. Not a good combination. Two weeks ago I bought a Spire. In just days I became more aware of my breathing, and, from that, learned to calm myself quickly and easily. If you’re tense, the Spire will even lead you through a breathing exercise that slows your breathing and helps you calm yourself. I’ve tried meditation for years with mixed results–if I’m anxious I have a hard time meditating because I have a hard time breathing deeply consistently. This is just the sort of biofeedback I needed. I get a notification if I’m “focused” or relaxed, and a notice if it senses that I’ve been tense for a few minutes. A few deep breaths and I’m back to calm. This device has done more for me than medication or anything else. I wish I’d had one of these when I was thirty years younger. It has been an immense help for me.

I was looking for an activity tracker when I came across the Spire on Amazon. The idea that it could help me manage stress and help me focus was very appealing to me, so I decided to give it a try.

Real-Life Spire Testing: The Dreaded Doctor Visit (High Noon at the Anxiety Corral)

 on December 8, 2015

Going to the doctor’s office produces a tremendous amount of anxiety for me. I usually down a Pepto chewable or two before walking in the door, my hands feel clammy, my stomach is upset; I am miserable and scared.
